Since the late 1940s, when Dean Gamet started fabricating brass grain probes and sample dividers, Gamet Manufacturing has been an innovator; supplying the grain, feed and seed industries with dependable, accurate and affordable sampling equipment. Dean’s company, which was founded in 1937 in his Richfield Minnesota garage, marked the beginning of what is now one of the grain industries most recognizable brands.
Successful companies evolve with time and Gamet is no exception. In the early 1960’s Dean sold his company to Midwestern Machinery Company. It was during this era, under the leadership of Richard “Dick” Selenski and Kendall Johnson, Gamet was integral in developing the first diverter-type sampling systems. These systems are still the industry standard for accuracy and dependability.
In 1981 Seedburo Equipment Company of Chicago Illinois purchased Gamet Manufacturing. This marked the start of a twenty year relationship that saw the marketplace mature and the combined efforts of both companies rise to meet the ever changing industry needs. Gamet’s commitment to quality and customer service was further enhanced by a marketing agreement with Robbco Enterprises, led by Frank L. Robb. The success of this relationship led to the addition of many other firms representing Gamet products worldwide.
The year 2001 marked the beginning of what is now Gamet Manufacturing Incorporated. It was at this time the current management team completed an employee buyout of the company from Seedburo Equipment Company. Both firms still work closely together marketing products worldwide.
Additionally, strategic acquisitions have enabled Gamet to revolutionize the sampling of inbound truck loads of grain. These acquisitions include Iowa Grain Probe and Equipment, founded by Mr. Ron Krough, and JaHam Sales and Service, founded by Mr. Thom Hamilton. These acquisitions added the “Apollo” and “JaHam” truck probe sampler lines to our complete product offering.
The vision of our founders, integration of state of the art manufacturing technology, and strategic acquisitions have enabled Gamet Manufacturing to produce the widest range, best performing and most reliable sampling systems built today.
