WASHINGTON, D.C., U.S. — In addition to the upcoming office move, collocating with the National Corn Growers Association’s Washington staff, the U.S. Grains Council (USGC) has brought on board two staff members.
Along with Andrew Conner, new USGC manager of global biotechnology who joined the USGC on Nov. 28, Jon Weiss and Wendie Cable have also recently started.
Jon Weiss began work at the council on Nov. 30 filling the manager of domestic accounting position vacated by Joey Tatlonghari. Weiss previously worked for U.S. Wheat Associates, which the council anticipates will allow for an easy transition.
Finally, Wendie Cable joins the council as the executive assistant for Thomas C. Dorr, USGC president and chief executive officer, and Thomas N. Sleight, USGC vice-president of operations and membership. Replacing Michael Zorger who was promoted to manager of global strategies, Cable comes to the council with extensive experience as an executive assistant, most recently with KPMG, a global audit, tax and advisory services firm.
