HAMBURG, GERMANY —Stern-Wywiol Gruppe, Hamburg, Germany, will be represented by five of its specialist divisions, including four newcomers to the U.S. market at stand 624 at the IFT Food Expo 2016 in Chicago, Illinois, U.S. Besides the contract manufacturer SternMaid America, Hydrosol, SternEnzym, SternVitamin and Sternchemie will present customized solutions for different applications. With an annual turnover of some $500 million, the owner-managed group of companies ranks among the leading enterprises operating internationally in the world of food ingredients. 

With over 1,000 employees in 11 specialist ingredient firms in Germany and 16 affiliates abroad, the Stern-Wywiol Gruppe plans to step up its activities in the U.S. market. With SternMaid America in Aurora, near Chicago, the group of companies made a successful start in 2014 with the contract manufacturing of food ingredients, food supplements and specialties for athletes in powder form. 


Customers benefit by the comprehensive fund of technical know-how within the group and tailor-made solutions for numerous food applications, the company said.
