OMAHA, NEBRASKA, U.S. — William R. Stoufer has been promoted to president of ConAgra Mills, effective immediately.
Stoufer most recently was vice-president, supply chain, at ConAgra Mills. He succeeds Paul T. Maass, who was promoted to president, Commercial Foods, at ConAgra.
Stoufer has been with ConAgra Mills since graduating from Iowa State University in 1991 with a business degree in transportation logistics. At ConAgra Mills, Stoufer’s first five years were spent in transportation and logistics. He was managing that group at the company when he moved in 1997 to territory sales, first in the Ohio market and then into sales management roles.
With a June 2005 reorganization of sales structure within ConAgra’s Commercial Foods segment, Stoufer was promoted to vice-president of commercial sales, with responsibility for sales to commercial customers, such as blenders, selling a broader portfolio of foods, including products from SpiceTec Flavors and Seasonings and Gilroy Foods & Flavors (dehydrated and vegetable products) as well as the products of ConAgra Mills.
Since May 2006, Stoufer has been vice-president of supply chain for ConAgra Mills, with responsibility for the transportation department, customer service, non-grain procurement and internal project management.
In his new role, Stoufer will report to Maass.
"Bill is a strong business leader who brings a wealth of in-depth knowledge and expertise to his new role as president of ConAgra Mills," Maass said. "Bill is deeply familiar with both our customer and plant operations and is well-suited for this new and challenging role. I look forward to working with him to continue growing ConAgra Mills."
