NOVOROSSIYSK, RUSSIA — Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port (NCSP) Group announced on Dec. 24 that its consolidated cargo turnover for the first 11 months of 2015 is up 4.8% or 5.8 million tonnes in the same period last year.
Bulk cargo volumes totaled 11.11 million tonnes. That included 5.88 million tonnes of grain, which was down 11.2% from 6.62 million in the same period of last year. Other cargo included 1.05 million tonnes of chemical cargo, 861,000 tonnes of sugar, 1.95 million tonnes of iron ore and 1.36 million tonnes of coal.
General cargo volumes for the first 11 months of 2015 increased by 2.11 million tonnes, or 19.4% year-on-year, and reached 12.99 million tonnes.
Container traffic reached 4.66 million tonnes, down 6.2% and 426,000 TEU, down 27.6%, compared to 588,600 TEU in the same period of last year.
