CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, U.S. — Due to recent flooding near the Mississippi River in Illinois two of Ardent Mills flour mills closed, Reuters reported on Dec. 30
Both flour mills will remain closed “until the waters recede.”
In preparation of the flood the two flour mills in Chester and Alton, Illinois, U.S., were shuttered on Dec. 29.
According to the 2016 Grain and Milling Annual, the Chester facility has a capacity of 10,000 cwts and the Alton facility has a capacity of 21,800 cwts.
