GARDEN CITY, KANSAS, U.S. — Cargill’s animal nutrition business will close a feed manufacturing facility in Garden City, Kansas, U.S. on Aug. 31. The company plans to move production to another facility in Guymon, Oklahoma, U.S. The company attributed the closure to changes in market conditions and customer demand.
“This change will impact 10 positions, and we will do our best to support affected employees during this process to minimize the impact on them,” said Charles Shininger, managing director for Cargill’s premix business in the U.S. “Where possible, we will identify employment opportunities for affected employees at other Cargill locations.”
Cargill said it would work with its customers to ensure delivery of products and services without disruptions.
