OBERLIN, KANSAS, U.S. — CHS Inc. said on May 15 that it has officially assumed operation of elevators formerly run by Hansen-Mueller in Oberlin and Cedar Bluffs, Kansas, U.S.
The CHS operation will be able to bring added value to its customers through a collaborative agreement with two other CHS businesses: CHS Agri Service, based out of Holdrege, Nebraska, U.S., and CHS United Plains Ag, based out of Sharon Springs, Kansas, U.S., the company said. These groups will share equipment and materials, as well as the expertise of their staffs, for enhanced grain services and the potential for new programs.
These two facilities originate corn, winter wheat and sorghum, with the majority of production being shipped by truck to area cattle feed lots, ethanol plants and milling companies.
