DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES — The International Association of Operative Millers (IAOM) MEA Education Committee is inviting experts from the milling and grain process industries to present Technical, and What's New papers at the 26th Annual IAOM MEA District Conference & Expo, Oct. 31-Nov. 3, Sheikh Maktoum Hall, Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC), United Arab Emirates.

Technical presenters will be given 45 minutes each to be followed by a panel Q&A session. Interested speakers must submit a one-page abstract along with the following details:
• What is the topic of the presentation?
• Why is it important to the millers in Middle East & Africa?

Only four companies will be selected to deliver What's New presentations to be conducted either in the conference room or at the company's expo stand, where the equipment could be possibly displayed. Each What's New presentation will last 30 minutes and should discuss the following points:
• What is the need being addressed by the machine or process?
• How does the machine or system work to achieve the end result?
• How much does the technology cost?
• What are the benefits to the buyer of this technology?
• What is the estimate ROI from the proposed technology?

IAOM offered suggested topics including silo temperature measurement, whole grain quality analysis, maize milling new technology, mycotoxins in milling, non-wheat grain milling technology, functionality of dough, effects of various of improvers, optimizing diagrams to produce the best flour quality, optical sorting equipment, developments in automation and control systems, quality assurance systems, optimized treatment and handling of return flour, plant hygiene, mill pest control & fumigation, developments in fluting & roll frosting systems, developments in whole wheat products, pasta & couscous production, and instant noodle technology.
