CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, U.S. — Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM) said on Feb. 20 that it was ranked the world’s most admired company in the food production industry by Fortune magazine for 2015. Considered the definitive report card on corporate reputation, Fortune magazine’s annual list of the “World’s Most Admired Companies” ranks companies in a number of major industries.
“We are proud to be acknowledged by our peers for our leadership in the food production industry,” said ADM Chief Executive Officer Juan Luciano. “To be recognized for excellence in our work to serve our customers in the food industry speaks to the dedication of our 33,000 employees.”
A total of 668 companies from 29 countries were evaluated by more than 4,100 executives, directors and security analysts. Survey respondents were asked to rate companies in their industry on nine criteria: innovation, people management, use of corporate assets, social responsibility, quality of management, financial soundness, long-term investment value, quality of products and services and global competitiveness.
