ST. PAUL, MINNESOTA, U.S. — CHS Inc.’s Country Operations division raised more than $512,000 and 443,000 pounds of food during its CHS Harvest for Hunger campaign.
Since the program's launch in 2011, more than $1.6 million and 2.1 million pounds of food have been raised. Donations collected went to regional food banks. More than 50 CHS business units and more than 4,000 employees participated in the 2014 Harvest for Hunger drive held March 1-20.
"We couldn't be more proud of the thousands of CHS employees, customers and partners who rallied in support of this effort. It's powerful to see how each dollar, food item and donation of grain or produce can make a tremendous difference for those in need," said John McEnroe, executive vice-president, CHS Country Operations.
