DECATUR, ILLINOIS, U.S. — Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM) on March 11 announced the appointment of Chris Boerm to president, Grain, and also two additional appointments in a new corporate strategy function.
In his role, Boerm will oversee ADM’s U.S. and export grain businesses, grain merchandising operations and destination marketing businesses. The appointment is effective April 1.
“With more than two decades and a range of experience at ADM, Chris has the knowledge and proven leadership to manage and grow our grains business,” said Joe Taets, ADM senior vice-president and president, Agricultural Services.
Boerm replaces Ian Pinner, who has been named vice-president, Corporate Strategic & Financial Planning, a new position created to help develop and drive ADM’s corporate strategic growth plan and its business performance plans.
Pinner will also lead ADM’s annual business planning process. His appointment is effective April 1. He will report to ADM’s Chief Financial Officer Ray Young.
In addition, Christina McGlone-Hahn has been named director, Corporate Strategy & Competitive Analysis. She will join ADM on March 17. McGlone-Hahn was most recently the head of Agricultural Commodities Research at Deutsche Bank. She will report to Pinner.
“Ian has deep insight into our business and the agriculture industry as a whole, and his leadership in this new role will assist ADM as we strive to achieve our objective of economic value added growth,” Young said.
“Christina brings a profound understanding of shareholder value creation to ADM,” he added. “Her insights into our strategies and sector will help ensure strong linkage to value creation.”
