HEIDEN, SWITZERLAND — Sefar has signed an agreement with Filter Pure of South Africa to acquire the business of Filter Pure CC and Filter Pure Mesh CC. This strategic move allows both companies to develop the markets in South Africa in ways previously not possible, Sefar said.
With this acquisition Sefar will be present with its own subsidiary, Sefar Filter Pure (Pty Ltd), in South Africa. For Filter Pure, the integration into the Sefar Group will add new possibilities, resources and expertise to grow in its current markets, milling and mining/minerals, as well as to tap new markets, Sefar said.
Shawn Kallmann will continue to lead the business as managing director of Sefar Filter Pure.
The geographical responsibility for this entity will extend into the entire southern part of the African continent. For the customers, nothing will change in terms of contact persons, phone numbers and e-mail addresses.
Filter Pure was founded by Shawn Kallmann and has been the distributor for Sefar in South Africa for over 20 years. The company currently employs 22 people at its site in Kya Sand near Johannesburg, South Africa.
Sefar is a worldwide leader in monofilament precision fabrics for a broad range of technical applications in filtration and screen printing. The group has more than 2,200 employees and operates subsidiaries in 26 countries around the globe.
