KVANUM, SWEDEN — Tornum Polska, a fully owned subsidiary of Tornum AB in Sweden, received a turnkey order for a new greenfield grain elevator for Grupa Producentow Rolnych (GPR) “Nasze Zboze” Sp z.o.o.

GPR “Nasze Zboze” is a newly formed company located in the northwest part of Poland. The farmers members of GPR “Nasze Zbo?e” have experience in farming and are cultivating 3,300 hectares of grain.

“In order to meet an increased tonnage and to prepare for the future we needed a modern plant with focus on efficiency, from logistic, energy and environmental point of view,” said President GPR “Nasze Zboze” Marek Michalski. 

“Tornum was our preferred choice  of supplier mainly based upon their reputation and experience in the market but we also put a lot of attention to Tornum’s new patented control system IDC and their heat recovery dryer HR,” said Michalski.

The elevator consists of intake, cleaning, drying and storage. Total storage capacity is in excess of 20,000 tonne.

“Tornum Polska is grateful for the confidence and are pleased Nasze Zboze have selected us as the turn key supplier,” said General Manager Slawomir Kaca.

The civil works is already in progress and the delivery of equipment will commence in mid-October. The complete plant shall be in full operation by the end of April 2015.
