DECATUR, ILLINOIS, U.S. — Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) Co. Chairman, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and President Patricia A. Woertz has been named to the U.S. Section of the U.S.-Brazil CEO Forum, and appointed by the U.S. government to serve as the chair of that section, ADM said on Aug. 23.
“I am honored to have the opportunity to work over the next three years to advance the commercial and economic relationship between the U.S. and Brazil,” Woertz said.
“We at ADM view the U.S.-Brazil CEO Forum as a uniquely valuable channel for the private sector to advance discussion on issues that are important to U.S. companies and others that invest in Brazil. As one of Brazil’s largest overall exporters and a top agricultural processor, we see enormous opportunity for our two countries to enhance their economic and trade relationship.
“I look forward to engaging with fellow Forum members on priorities such as visa reform, customs procedures, education, energy, trade facilitation and infrastructure. I am excited to work with my colleagues as well as our Brazilian industry counterparts and both governments on this important initiative.”
