ST. PAUL, MINNESOTA, U.S. — Tamara (Tammie) Freund Kass, an experienced agricultural communicator and leader, has joined CHS Inc. (NASDAQ: CHSCP), the nation's leading farmer-owned cooperative and a global energy, grains and foods company, as its digital strategy leader, the company announced on June 20.
Kass is responsible for leading the expansion of a full range of digital media to further strengthen the Fortune 100 company's connections with its key stakeholders in the U.S. and globally.

Kass joined CHS from DTN/The Progressive Farmer of Omaha, Nebraska, U.S., where most recently she held the position of vice-president, content strategy and international agriculture.
Kass has more than 15 years' experience in agriculture communications including leading information service products, creating editorial and media business management. She also has experience in creating and executing growth strategies, business development and working internationally.
In addition to her past leadership roles with the DTN commodity information service and The Progressive Farmer media business, Kass serves on the board of directors for the Agriculture Council of America and currently is the organization's secretary/treasurer.
Kass grew up on a family farm in Iowa, has undergraduate degrees from Iowa State University in journalism and agricultural studies and has a master's degree from Texas A&M University in international agriculture development.
