PARK RIDGE, ILLINOIS, U.S. — Donald F. Bianchi, founder and president of Bianchi Milling and a longtime member of the Bakers Courtesy Club of Chicago, the American Society of Baking and the Chicago Bakers Club, died June 7 in Park Ridge, Illinois, U.S. He was 82.
A DePaul University Alumni and Korean War veteran, Bianchi served in the baking industry for more than 50 years and received numerous lifetime achievement awards.
Bianchi is survived by his wife Lois (nee Haske) Bianchi; his children Linda (Bob) Transon, Don (Karen) Bianchi, Laurie (Joe) Ford, Lisa (late Dave) Zyzda and Mike (Kim) Bianchi; grandchildren Katie (Pat), Tim, Taylor, Zach, Matt, Nick, Dylan, Olivia, Ryan, Jake, Trevor, Brittany, Emilee and his great granddaughter Madeline; his brother Robert Bianchi and two nieces Julie and Janine.
