NEW DELHI, INDIA — Assocom India is organizing the 4th International Grain Conference, May 1-2, at Hotel Le Meridien, New Delhi, India.
The conference will address current issues including the growth vs. inflation dilemma, the impact of adverse weather conditions, domestic and international market dynamics, the Food Security Bill, and FDI’s role in revolutionizing the domestic food market.
Professor K. V. Thomas, Minister of State, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, will be the chief guest of the conference. The event will be moderated by G. Chandrashekhar, associate editor, The Hindu Business Line.
A strong lineup of speakers from within the country and outside will share their expertise and look into the year ahead. The high point of the convention will be the price outlook session where experts will come up with price forecast for a range of agri-commodities including wheat, pulses, oilseeds and sugar.
Policymakers, public sector undertakings, large corporate trading houses, major processors of grains, trade intermediaries and a host of service providers (commercial banks, logistics firms, technologists, surveyors) in addition to academicians and investors are expected to participate.
