DECATUR, ILLINOIS, U.S. — Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM) announced on Feb. 26 that it has promoted Gregory Morris to the newly created role of president, North American Oilseed Processing. He previously served as vice-president of the business.
In his new position, Morris will continue to oversee all of the company’s North American Oilseeds processing businesses, including more than two dozen crushing plants where the company turns soybeans, cottonseeds and various softseeds, such as canola and sunflower, into meal and oil for use in food and animal feed ingredients as well as industrial applications. Morris will also oversee ADM’s Specialty Products business, which includes the company’s Protein Specialties, Lecithin and Natural Health & Nutrition divisions.
“Greg’s continued leadership will be valuable as our North American Oilseeds teams work to meet growing global protein demand, and to expand our value-added product portfolio to address our customers’ evolving needs,” said Matt Jansen, senior vice-president and president, ADM Oilseeds Processing.
Morris joined ADM in 1995 and has had several merchandising and management positions since that time. He has a bachelor’s degree in finance from Illinois State University, Normal, Illinois, U.S., and a master’s of business administration from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, U.S.
