WESTCHESTER, ILLINOIS, U.S. — Ingredion Incorporated on Nov. 5 celebrated the expansion of the company’s global R&D facility in Bridgewater, New Jersey, U.S.
Ingredion chairman, president and chief executive officer, Ilene Gordon, was joined by the Honorable Dan Hayes, Bridgewater mayor, at a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
“This expansion is part of our overall strategic plan to expand our product portfolio with innovative ingredient solutions that are on trend and in demand,” Gordon said. “We are proud of our longstanding presence in Bridgewater and look forward to more productive years here.”
“We appreciate Ingredion’s continued commitment to Bridgewater, which is reinforced with this expansion. They are good neighbors and their presence contributes positively to the local economy,” said Bridgewater Mayor, Dan Hayes.
The expansion includes three new labs that will focus on the development of sweeteners and adds 12 full-time and 12 part-time employees. Close to 300 employees work at Ingredion’s facility in Bridgewater.
