KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI, U.S. — The Kansas City Board of Trade (KCBT) said on July 2 that HRW wheat futures and exchange volume traded during the month of June was the second largest in the history of the exchange for the calendar month of June.
HRW wheat futures volume of 668,516 contracts was the second largest for the month of June, coming in behind only last year's tally of 772,607 contracts, which is the largest single-month volume record for the exchange. June volume increased 63.4% when compared to May 2012 volume.
Total exchange volume of 680,750 contracts also was the second largest for the month of June, falling shy only to last June's all-time monthly volume record of 809,204 contracts. June volume increased 61.3% compared to May 2012 volume.
