WINNIPEG, MANITOBA, CANADA — The Canadian Grain Commission announced on July 27 the introduction of a new food class of Barley, Canada Western/Canada Eastern that will come into effect on Aug. 1.
At the same time, the hulless class for Barley, Canada Western/Canada Eastern will be removed. Hulless and covered grades will be included for all classes of barley: food, malting and general purpose.

For Lentils, Canada Red: New color definition; New tolerances for copper and bleached seeds; New wrinkled seed tolerances.
