QUINCY, MASSACHUSETTS, U.S. — Frank van Schaayk has been elected to the board of directors of Bay State Milling Co. van Schaayk is regional president of The Americas for McCain Foods Ltd.
van Schaayk began his career with McCain in 1992 and has held numerous senior level positions, including corporate vice-president of the company’s global relationship with McDonald’s Corp.; managing director of McCain Foods Holland; and chief executive officer of McCain Foods, USA. Prior to joining McCain Foods, he was president and chief operating officer and member of the board of Ben’s, Ltd., a regional wholesale bakery company in eastern Canada. He also held a variety of roles in engineering and strategy functions with Shell Canada, Ltd.
He was a member of the board of directors of McCain Foods Ltd. from 2006 to 2010.
van Schaayk received a degree in mechanical engineering from St. Francis Xavier University and the Nova Scotia Technical College in Canada. He also holds a chartered director designation in Canada and is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at Harvard University.
