Chicago CFO of the Year is awarded in five categories: large public company, mid-size public company, large private company, mid-size private company and not-for-profit organization. Beebe won the award in the large public company category. Award recipients are determined by a four-member committee of independent judges, who are finance professionals in industry and academia.

"Cheryl is a role model for aspiring CFOs. She is an outstanding finance professional who has contributed significantly to Ingredion's success in delivering meaningful shareholder value," said Mary Jo Ardizzone, FEI board member and chair of the CFO of the Year event.
Beebe has been with Ingredion Incorporated, formerly Corn Products International, since 1980 and has held a variety positions with increasing responsibility in audit, planning and analysis, and treasury. Currently her responsibilities include global management of financial reporting, procurement, information systems, insurance, investor relations, tax and treasury.
