ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA, U.S. — The American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) announced on Oct. 23 that it is planning the International Feed Education Forum on Jan. 30, 2013. The forum, which will take place on the second day of the International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE), will address issues unique to feed manufacturers in three sessions.
AFIA noted that the half-day conference, held from 8:30-11 am, will feature three sessions discussing topics impacting today’s feed manufacturer. Keith Epperson, AFIA, will open the forum, presenting on the latest regulations from Environmental Protection Agency and specifically OSHA. Richard Sellers, AFIA, will discuss the continued implementation of the Food Safety Modernization Act and other government compliance rules. Dr. Adam Fahrenholz, North Carolina State University, will close the program with Training New Feed Mill Managers Using Web-Based Tools, in an effort to keep feed manufacturers well-informed of the latest industry trends and innovations.
The 2013 International Feed Expo will be co-located with USPOULTRY’s International Poultry Expo and the American Meat Institute’s International Meat Expo into a single, large tradeshow. The IPPE will take place in Atlanta, Georgia, from Jan. 29-31, 2013.
