MOSCOW, RUSSIA — The Russian Grain Union (RGU) in partnership with the Institute for Agricultural Market Studies (IKAR) and under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation will hold the XVIIth Annual International Conference Black Sea Grain and Oilseeds 2011-12 "Year After": Searching for successful equilibrium between domestic and export grain markets development on Sept. 8 in Moscow, Russia.
Among confirmed conference speakers:
- Dan Basse, president, AgResource: Global agricultural commodities markets.
- Luke Chandler, global head of agri-commodity markets research (ACMR), Rabobank: world oilseed markets.
Sergey Feofilov, general director, Ukragroconsult. - David Nelson, Rabobank: global demand on grain and oilseed products (with a focus on animal protein industries demand).
- High ranking representative of the USWA (to be determined)
- Leading domestic grain and agricultural market analysts.
Key topics to be discussed include lessons to be learned from the Russian grain export ban; the impact on the domestic grain and oilseed markets by the 2010 drought; and Russian grain export in 2011-12.
Over the years the conference has become the venue for effective discussions focused on the current situation on the markets of grain, cereal and oilseed crops both within Russian and all over the world.
The XVI International Conference ‘Black Sea Grain and Oilseeds’, which was held on Sept. 9, 2010, attracted more than 200 participants from 165 companies from 21 countries such as Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Egypt, Morocco, Turkey, the U.S., Canada, India, Southern Korea, U.K., France, Italy, Netherlands and other countries.
