MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA, U.S. — The Pillsbury A Mill in Minneapolis, Minnesota, U.S., was included in the National Trust for Historic Preservation’s list of Most Endangered Historic Places released on June 15.

The list is a culmination of hundreds of hours of hard work by hundreds of people, and it becomes a new rallying cry for supporters of incredibly important — yet unfortunately threatened — sites nationwide, the preservation group said.

The Pillsbury mill complex is vacant and is in danger of piecemeal development, which could strip the landmark of its potential for re-use and rehabilitation, the preservation group said. It said the mill is a masterpiece of industrial architecture.

In 1881, when it was completed it was the largest and most advanced facility of its kind in the world.
