With an annual production capacity of 30,000 tonnes, the facility provides feed premixes to animal producers in the provinces of Henan, Hebei, Shandong, Shaanix and Anhui, and the municipalities of Tianjin and Beijing.
“ADM Alliance Nutrition is dedicated to providing safe, high-quality products to our customers. With the addition of our new facility in Tianjin, we are now able to provide feed premixes for even more animal nutrition customers in China,” said Terry Myers, president, ADM Alliance Nutrition. “The animal nutrition and health industry in China continues to grow rapidly, and it’s our privilege to participate in this market through our innovative products and technologies.”
This is ADM Alliance Nutrition’s second premix plant in China. The company has operated a premix plant in Dalian, China, since 1995. ADM Alliance Nutrition’s Tianjin and Dalian facilities offer broiler premix, layer premix, swine premix, ruminant premix, swine concentrates, specialty ingredients and nutritional consulting services.
Animal feed premix is comprised of dietary components, such as vitamins, minerals and enzymes. Animal feed premixes complement dietary energy and protein content of feeds to maximize the health and productivity of animals.
The opening of the Tianjin premix plant is the latest step by ADM to grow its business in China. In 2010, ADM made a $100 million cornerstone investment in the Agricultural Bank of China (ABC), and in early 2011 ADM opened an office in Beijing.
