KIEV, UKRAINE — Ukraine is forecast to export 41 million tonnes of grain in 2017-18, about 3 million below last year’s total, according to the country’s Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.
Through Feb. 7, the country had exported 24.7 million tonnes of grain in the 2017-18 season, which began in July 2017 and ends in June 2018. That includes 12.5 million tonnes of wheat, 8.1 million tonnes of corn and 4 million tonnes of barley.
The Ministry also estimated that 257,200 tonnes of flour (wheat equivalent) had been exported from Ukraine so far this marketing year.
In 2016-17, Ukraine exported 43.9 million tonnes of grain.
