CORUM, TURKEY – Alapala recently completed two turnkey flour mill projects, one in Mardin, Turkey, and the other in Baghdad, Iraq.
The Akcan facility in the Mardin K?z?ltepe Organized Industrial Zone of Turkey has a 500-tpd capacity mill and four steel silos with 3,000 tonnes of capacity each.
It features Alapala machines with high hygiene standards. The mill will supply the flour needs of Mardin and nearby cities.
This is Alapala’s second facility in Mardin. Previously it completed the Karabo?alar Flour Mill in five months. It has wheat processing capacity of 600 tpd and started operations in July 2015.
The Baghdad facility, located on 6,000 square meters of land, has two lines with capacity of 250 tpd each, for a total of 500 tpd of hard and semi-hard wheat milling capacity. The six-story concrete mill is one of a limited number of wheat milling facilities in the region that is fully automated, including the packaging section. The PLC controlled facility has remote management and management information system.
The machines the Alapala Group manufactures are being used in more than 5,000 factories all over the world. By adding another reference project in the Middle East, Alapala said it is improving its market penetration in the region
