QUINCY, MASSACHUSETTS, U.S. – David L. Sachs, formerly vice-president, global coffee and specialty beverages at Keurig Green Mountain, has been named vice-president and general manager of the specialty milling and blending business at Bay State Milling.
“This business focuses on developing, scaling and maintaining complex supply chains that support the commercialization of high-value, niche-oriented and often novel plant-based ingredients primarily for grain-based foods across the conventional, organic and non-GMO market segments,” Bay State Milling said.
Sachs was instrumental in driving the growth of the single-serve, hot beverage portfolio at Keurig Green Mountain. He previously worked for 13 years at Kraft Foods, now part of the Kraft Heinz Co. Sachs received a bachelor’s of science degree in business administration from the University of Maryland and a master’s in business administration from Washington University in St. Louis.
“We welcome David to the Bay State Milling leadership team and look forward to the contributions his level of expertise and complementary skills will bring as we proactively support our customers’ efforts to create the next generation of grain-based foods that offer enhanced wellness, sustainability and flavor,” said Peter F. Levangie, president and chief executive officer for Bay State Milling. “I am excited for employees, supply chain partners and customers to get to know David.”
