SHARP OSHA
All SHARP companies are exempt from programmed OSHA inspections from one to three years.
OMAHA, NEBRASKA, U.S. — Scoular recently announced that several of its U.S.  grain facilities continue to meet the requirements for participation in the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) SHARP award. The Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) award is given to employers who operate an exemplary injury and illness prevention program.

“I am pleased to work for a company that focuses their efforts in ensuring a safe workplace for our employees. These five southwest Nebraska facilities have taken the necessary steps to achieve this recognition and earn this prestigious award,” said Rick Matousek, Scoular’s Facility manager. “I am very proud of their accomplishment.”

The following facilities meet the requirements:
  • Big Springs, Nebraska, U.S. - wheat, milo and corn facility
  • Brandon, Nebraska, U.S. - wheat, milo and corn facility
  • Lamar, Nebraska, U.S. - wheat, milo and corn facility
  • South Grant, Nebraska, U.S. - wheat, milo and corn facility
  • Venango, Nebraska, U.S. - wheat, milo and corn facility
  • Goodland, Kansas, U.S. - wheat, milo and corn facility
  • Andres, Illinois, U.S.- grain cleaning facility
  • Channahon, Illinois, U.S.- DDGS facility

SHARP is designed to provide recognition and support to employers who implement and continuously improve effective safety and health management systems at worksites. All SHARP companies are exempt from programmed OSHA inspections from one to three years.
