ROME, GEORGIA, U.S. — Peter W. Hjort Jr. has been promoted to chief operating officer of Southeastern Mills, Inc. In his new role he will have responsibility for the company’s finance, information systems, manufacturing, pricing and supply chain functions.
Hjort will continue in his role as chief financial officer of G&L Holdings, Inc., the parent company of Southeastern Mills.
Hjort joined Southeastern Mills in 1998 and has held several leadership roles, including vice-president, CFO, secretary and treasurer.
He began his career with Flowers Foods in 1981, holding various roles in accounting and finance.
Hjort graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in accounting.
