Contract manufacturer certified for the production of organic foods.
With the certification, SternMaid said it is able to process, blend and fill organic products in powder form, as well as procure raw materials from controlled organic farming at the customer’s request. Customers may have organic products blended and packaged by SternMaid America without being certified themselves, the company said.
“Thanks to this certification, we can now present ourselves to a wider target group,” said Jan Thoele, executive vice-president of SternMaid America. “The seal of approval stands for safety and transparency — for our customers as well as consumers. It creates confidence in us and our quality system.”
In addition, SternMaid America may manufacture kosher, halal, non-GMO, gluten-free and/or vegan foods on a “product-by-product” basis. An audit for cGMP certification of SternMaid’s food supplement production is scheduled for the end of September, the company added.
