“Foodborne foreign objects, in some instances, may cause injuries such as choking,” Morrison Milling said. “The severity and type of injury a consumer might experience depends on the size and shape of the foreign object.”
The company said there have been no consumer complaints, illnesses or injuries reported associated with the recall, and while no nylon “hairs” have been found in the finished product, Morrison Milling is taking the voluntary action “in an overabundance of caution.”
Morrison Milling said the potentially affected whole wheat flour product is distributed through retail HEB supermarkets, which are located in the Southwestern region of the United States.
Morrison Milling operates a flour mill in Denton with wheat flour capacity of 5,000 cwts and total storage of 1 million bushels.
