MAUMEE, OHIO, U.S. — Anthony Lombardi has joined The Andersons, Inc. as chief information officer. He will report to John Granato, chief financial officer.
For 36 years, Lombardi has worked in various technology disciplines, including more than 30 years in IT strategy development and systems implementation, the company said.
"Tony's extensive background in large systems implementations and strategy development combined with his track record of being a leader who engages, motivates and develops strong technical and operational teams will be a great asset to The Andersons," Granato said.
Lombardi joins The Andersons after most recently serving as the vice-president of global business services and chief information officer for Armstrong World Industries in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, U.S. Prior to joining Armstrong World Industries in 1997, Lombardi worked for Unisys Corp.
He received a bachelor of science degree from Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, U.S., and a master of science degree in computer science from Villanova University in Villanova, Pennsylvania, U.S.
Founded in Maumee, Ohio, U.S., in 1947, The Andersons is a company rooted in agriculture conducting business across North America in the grain, ethanol, plant nutrient and rail sectors. The company currently has 32 grain facilities and 151 million bushel capacity. In 2015, The Andersons shipped 500 million bushels of grain, marketed 1.1 million tonnes of animal feed and currently insures 670,000 acres of crops.
