ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA, US — Gary Huddleston, director of feed manufacturing and regulatory affairs for the American Feed Industry Association (AFIA), has been selected to sit on the Kansas State University (KSU) Department of Grain Science and Industry’s external advisory board to support strategic initiatives.
“I’m honored to join Kansas State University’s Department of Grain Science external advisory board and contribute to the future of our industry, through supporting student success and addressing the evolving challenges facing grain and feed manufacturing,” Huddleston said.
KSU said the advisory board is committed to fostering partnerships and ideas that will facilitate the growth of the industry, ensure student success and create timely solutions that address emerging societal challenges.
Huddleston has over 30 years of experience in feed manufacturing. He leads AFIA’s regulatory efforts with agencies like the Food and Drug Administration, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Environmental Protection Agency and Department of Transportation while supporting industry education programs and leading AFIA’s Equipment Manufacturers and Production Compliance Committees.
Before joining the AFIA in 2015, he managed Southern States Cooperative’s Park City, Kentucky, US, plant. Huddleston holds a bachelor’s degree in agribusiness and economics from Tennessee Technological University.
