SÃO PAULO, BRAZIL — Several events focused on flour milling are planned as part of and in conjunction with VICTAM LatAm 2025, Sept. 16-18 in São Paulo, Brazil.

The Flour Milling Maximised Congress, scheduled for Sept. 17, will focus on trends and innovations that are shaping the future of flour milling. It will bring together flour millers, grain traders and equipment manufacturers.

Ocrim will lead the session, “Miller’s View on Flour Milling in Latin America,” covering the specific challenges and opportunities faced by the Latin American milling industry. Other topics that will be covered include sustainability, the importance of storage and transportation and milling innovations to meet the demands of bakeries.

In addition to the Flour Milling Maximised Congress, another key event organized by GMP+, Abiove and ANEC, will explore pressing issues related to sustainability, safety, carbon footprint and the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). These topics are vital for flour millers and related professionals striving to meet rising environmental and regulatory demands, VICTAM said.

GMP+ is a global leader in feed safety and sustainability with over 19,000 certified companies in 90 countries. Abiove represents Brazil’s vegetable oil industry, focusing on sustainable soybean processing and biodiesel production. ANEC, the National Association of Cereal Exporters in Brazil, plays a vital role in ensuring efficiency and sustainability in grain exports.

Co-located with VICTAM LatAm is GRAPAS, which is dedicated to grain handling and flour milling. It covers the whole range of technologies, products, and services, from the grain leaving the farms until flour bags leave the flour mills.

Among others, the latest technologies and services for transportation, storage and conservation, milling and packaging may be found at the GRAPAS events.

In parallel to the exhibition, there will be conferences about the future of grain milling, how to improve storage and sustainability in the industry.

An award for the best milling practices in Latin America also will be handed out.

At the Latin American event, Victam is introducing the Partner Search Program to connect participants with local Brazilian partners in the animal feed and milling industry.
