LOWELL, MICHIGAN, US — King Milling Co., Michigan’s largest flour miller, in April celebrated the completion of the latest expansion of its flour milling complex in Lowell, Michigan. The $47 million project involved erecting the mill as well as two slipform concrete wheat storage bins that are attached to it. The new D mill adds 8,000 cwts to the company’s daily milling capacity, bringing total capacity to 25,000 cwts.

CREMONA, ITALY — Ocrim welcomed more than 200 milling industry members to its headquarters and manufacturing facilities in Cremona, Italy, for its “Wheat Flour And…” event. Speakers on the first day Sept. 13 discussed artificial intelligence in general and how it can apply to milling.
