DES MOINES, IOWA, US — ADM has donated another $100,000 to three Des Moines schools through its ADM Cares program, the By Degrees Foundation announced on June 4.
The company’s corporate social investment program works to sustain and strengthen its commitment to communities where ADM colleagues work, live and operate by directing funding, volunteerism and industry knowledge to initiatives and organizations that drive meaningful social, economic and environmental progress.
“The continued investment from ADM Cares helps us significantly increase our reach and develop even more impactful programing for the 2,500 students at our partner schools,” said Ken McCullum, chair of the By Degrees Foundation Board. “This past school year support from ADM Cares provided healthy food and snacks for Findley Elementary students, supported family financial literacy and career days as well as provided lunch for all teachers during teacher appreciation week at Findley Elementary, Harding Middle School and North High School.”
ADM Cares also donated $100,000 to the By Degrees Foundation in 2023.
“ADM is thrilled to continue its ongoing support of By Degrees Foundation and help strengthen the organization’s mission of increasing graduate and postsecondary readiness rates, while also serving as a support system for students during their career explorations,” said Jennifer Ballinger, director of ADM Cares. “Partnerships such as this are vital to addressing significant needs to help elevate students and families. It takes a community effort to help students succeed, and we are proud to engage in this effort through monetary contributions and volunteerism from our central Iowa colleagues.”
ADM Cares grants target three focus areas that align with ADM’s mission of feeding the world: sustainability, hunger relief and education, with a focus on agricultural education and science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) disciplines.
