MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Pilmico and Gold Coin, the integrated agribusiness and food company of the Aboitiz Group, expects to complete feed mills in China and Vietnam in the first half of the year, Malaya Business Insight reported.
The Yunnan, China, facility initially will produce 150,000 tonnes of feed per year, with the possibility to increase production to 270,000 tonnes, while the Long An, Vietnam, facility will have an initial capacity of 200,000 tonnes per year with the ability to increase to up to 300,000 tonnes. The projects were first announced in November 2022.
Currently, the Gold Coin Group, under Pilmico International, has four livestock feed mills in China and three in Vietnam. It is one of the largest feed millers in Southeast Asia with an annual capacity of 4.2 million tonnes. It is also a leading producer of flour and meat.
From mill to meal, Pilmico and Gold Coin have 29 facilities across eight countries in the Asia Pacific region.
