ANKARA, TURKEY — The Association of Turkish Milling and Sector Machinery Manufacturers (DESMÜD) has entered a partnership with IDMA International Fairs, a global events platform for the cereal and pulse processing sectors based in Istanbul.
The agreement will enable sharing of the latest technologies in the milling industry, supporting research and development activities and disseminating the best practices, building toward an innovative and sustainable future.
Zeki Demirtaşoğlu, chairman of DESMÜD, and Ali Kalkan, chairman of IDMA International Fairs, signed the agreement in Ankara, Turkey.
DESMÜD said the partnership is an opportunity to promote innovation within its industry and increase members’ competitiveness internationally.
IDMA Fairs have been bringing together the representatives of the grain and pulses processing industry and suppliers for 16 years. Certified milling training for the flour, feed, and pulses sectors have been organized since 2013 with the contribution of non-governmental organizations within the scope of IDMA Exhibitions to contribute to the development of skilled labor within the industry.
“As DESMÜD, we are constantly endeavoring to increase the competitiveness of our members and industry stakeholders, strengthen their cooperation and represent our industry in the international arena,” DESMÜD said. “With this cooperation, Turkey’s milling sector will become more visible worldwide and increase its impact in the global arena.”
