ARKANSAS CITY, KANSAS, US — Registration is now open for the International Association of Operative Millers’ Electrical Training Event at Cowley College Sumner Campus in Arkansas City, Kansas, US.
The three-day electrical training course planned March 12-14 will include a variety of topics related to electrical maintenance in the mill environment.
Topics include electrical energy and sources of electricity; static electricity and magnetism; electrical safety; voltage, current and resistance; series and parallel circuits; electrical symbols and diagrams; electrical circuits; reading electrical diagrams; fuses, circuit breaks, overload relays; single phasing; motor starter and control relays; reversing circuits; and transformers.
Students in the hands-on training course will learn how to identify electrical problems. The training was created to bring students up to speed in their electrical skills as quickly as possible and was designed to cover the most commonly performed electrical troubleshooting tasks.
For the novice or experienced electrician, this training course provides a practical and real-world systematic approach to electrical troubleshooting.
Cost is $1,075 for IAOM members and $1,150 for non-members.
