WASHINGTON, DC, US — The US corn harvest is nearly complete and winter wheat conditions are improved, according to the US Department of Agriculture’s Crop Progress report released on Nov. 20.

Harvest is 93% complete in the 18 states that account for most of the nation’s corn acreage. Kansas, Texas and North Carolina have completed their corn harvests.

Winter wheat is 95% planted and 87% emerged. That compares with 98% planted and 86% emerged at the same time last year.

Wheat condition improved with 48% rated good/excellent, up 1% from the previous week and up 16% from last year.
