ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI, US — Bunge Ltd. has more than doubled the size of its Global Volunteering Program, an initiative launched in 2022 to address growing food insecurity and humanitarian needs around the world.
As part of the program, more than 65 sites around the world in which Bunge has a presence have been and will be coordinating food drives, volunteering at food banks and supporting local organizations with a focus on addressing hunger and food access. Locations include local support in St. Louis, Missouri — where Bunge headquarters are located — as well as multiple sites in Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, India, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and the United States.
“Our goal is to leave a lasting impact on the communities where we operate,” said Robert Coviello, chief sustainability officer and government affairs at Bunge. “Our Global Volunteering Program has had immense growth this year and that speaks volumes to the dedication our employees have to do what’s right. We are very proud of our teams and their commitment to support the communities where they live and work.”
Bunge said it is hosting volunteer events throughout October in recognition of World Food Day, an international day focused on ensuring food systems are inclusive and sustainable.
