SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA, US — Steve Records, former executive director of the Grain Elevator and Processing Society (GEAPS), is now leading the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE).
He started as executive director with the group on April 3. Records was also chief executive officer of GEAPS Media Group.
GEAPS announced in mid-March that Julia Kloehn will serve as the interim executive director. Kloehn started with GEAPS in 2007 as manager of chapter services and is currently director of operations.
GEAPS board of directors will continue to work on a transition plan for the long term. The board said it knows the selection of an executive director is one of its most important duties — and one that has lasting impact on the organization. Records had been with GEAPS since 2019.
In the newly created position of executive director for INCOSE, Records will act as a spokesperson and key representative, advising and supporting the board of directors. He also will manage, oversee, and support relevant outreach initiatives and events.
INCOSE is a not-for-profit membership organization for systems engineering professionals.
