MANHATTAN, KANSAS, US — The American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) spring online feed manufacturing course, in partnership with Kansas State University, will be March 22-April 19.

“AFIA 500: Fundamentals of Feed Manufacturing” is a five-week distance education program that provides an in-depth understanding of the feed manufacturing process. Participants work at their own pace and engage in online discussions with other students and university instructors.

Topics covered include:

•  the process flow from particle size reduction;

•  batching and mixing;

•  conditioning and pelleting;

•  boilers;

•  post-pellet systems;

•  packaging and loadout; and

•  maintenance.
