UTRECHT, NETHERLANDS — Rabobank announced on Jan. 27 that it has promoted Stephen Nicholson to global sector strategist for Grains & Oilseeds.
Nicholson, who had been Rabobank’s US Grains & Oilseeds strategist, will remain based in St. Louis, Missouri, US, but is now responsible for establishing Rabobank’s overall positioning globally on analysis within the sector, and coordinating and aligning the opinions of the RaboResearch Grains & Oilseeds analysts around the world.
Rabobank said that since the beginning of his tenure with the agri-finance company in 2014, he has “continued to develop his profile as a well-recognized thought leader in grains and oilseeds as well as sweeteners.”
“I am delighted and excited about this new role,” Nicholson said. “Grain farmers and agribusiness are coming off two good years, but the opportunities and challenges associated with sustainability standards, geo-political uncertainty and margin pressure to name a few, all have the potential to transform the global G&O sector. One of my goals is make sure the G&O RaboResearch team is providing forward-looking insights that help advance our clients to lead through industry changes and act on opportunities.”
