WASHINGTON, DC, US — Sierra Richey has joined the US Grains Council as global programs coordinator. In her new role, Richey will support the global programs department, make arrangements for visiting teams, organize staff and member travel and facilitate program planning and execution.
Richey most recently worked in Nebraska Wesleyan University’s global engagement office as a special projects coordinator and as an intern with the USGC’s Latin America regional office in Panama. She also has served as a mentor for highly gifted elementary students in the Lincoln, Nebraska, US, public school system, where she taught Spanish.
She received bachelor’s degrees in international business and modern languages with an emphasis in Spanish at Nebraska Wesleyan University.
“We feel with Sierra’s education, international experiences, including time in our Panama office and her Spanish language skills, she will fit right in with the global programs team and be a big asset for us,” said Cary Sifferath, senior director of global programs at the USGC.
