DENISON, IOWA, US — Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig visited The Andersons, Inc.’s ethanol and grain elevator in Denison on Nov. 10.
Ricardo Campos, plant manager at the Denison facility, guided Naig through a tour of the site.
The Andersons acquired the ethanol facility, now known as The Andersons Denison Ethanol LLC, in May 2012. At the time of the acquisition, it was the company’s first ethanol plant west of the Mississippi River. Operations at the site consist of a 65-million-gallons-per-year ethanol production facility with an adjacent 2.7-million-bushel grain terminal with direct access to two Class 1 railroads in Iowa.
The Andersons work with Continental Carbonic Products to reduce emissions by providing CO2for liquid CO2 production.
